Santa Sack Swap

OH MY!  Look at all the BEAUTIFUL items Santa Theresa brought me this year.  I must have been really good or Theresa was just extra special.

Where to start..............

I received this beautiful bag from Kim Diehl fabrics (I like her fabrics and Theresa remembered)

A gorgeous stocking (which is now hung on my mantle)

A wool Santa runner, so cute!, a scissor keep - I've never had one before, a seam ripper - which was used too much this weekend (I lost mine), a tape measure, ladybug cutter, Kim Diehl panel, an OTT light, a punch needle pattern ( I just learned how to do that) and of course tasty treats.

And look at this gorgeous OWL!!!, she's such a lady.

Thank you so much Theresa for all the wonderful gifts and thank you Cheryll for running such a great swap.

Merry Christmas!

FNwF and Santa Sack Swap

I started my Friday working but I got off early and my sewing weekend began!

Friday I spent a delightful  afternoon with Jinny at a quilt shop and of course we both just had to by fabric and other goodies.  Why is it so much more fun to start a project than finish one......

Friday evening I did some prep work for a wool class I took on Saturday.  It's a design by Kathy Wall and you can visit her at her shop on line Woolkeeper by clicking HERE.

As you can see I finished the cover but today I'm going to work on the pages.  Labels are included so you can keep track of all the different needles.  Maybe I'll keep myself organized!

To see what all the other FNwF (click HERE) are up to visit Cheryll at Gone Stitchin' by clicking HERE.

I also joined Cheryll and friends for the Santa Swap Sack she hosts.  This will be my fourth year joining in on the fun.  It's open until June 9th so click HERE for information.

I've already started getting in the Christmas spirit by making ornaments.  I made these in a 'Make and Take' class by Kathy Wall of Woolkeeper (HERE)

I know there must be a way to rotate the picture but????

Laundry is calling and I want to visit all the other blogs on FNwF.

Happy Stitching!

A Lovely Year of Finishes....January

I met my goals for this month - Both my wall hangings are finished!

A Lovely Year of Finishes
This month has been difficult with my dad in the hospital.  He had just been released into rehab a few days ago but tonight he is back in the hospital with congestive heart failure...

A Lovely Year of Finishes - Goal Setting Party

I have so many unfinished projects I thought joining Shanna, Melissa and their followers would be a great idea. So if there is anyone else out there with UFO's join in the fun by clicking HERE.

A Lovely Year of Finishes

My Goal for the month of January is to complete the wall hangings below.  All I need to do is finish the binding and embellishments.  It sounds easy but I keep putting it aside to work on something else.

Both projects are from KimberBell.  Penguin one is 'Whimsy Winter Bench Pillow' and hearts is 'Be My Valentine Bench Pillow'.  I don't have a place for pillows so I made mine as wall hangings - approximate size 16 x 38 inches.

I WILL FINISH BY THE END OF JANUARY!

Stay Warm!
