Christmas Through the Year

"Pinch my cheeks and I'll give you a kiss."

These little mice ornaments will be for my grand nephews and nieces, I'll need at least 10.  I remember making ornaments somewhat like these when their Parents were young.  I don't have the right size pompoms and eyes here, I think larger will be cuter.  Hershey's Kisses will go in their mouths but I better not add those until closer to Christmas - I love chocolate!

To see what other Christmas projects are being made stop by and follow the links at Kim's Lily Patch Quilts

It's late and I get up for work in 4 1/2 hours but I wanted to post in February -  GOOD NIGHT!

Initial Heart Swap

Look what came in the Mail!
Theresa at Bumbleberry Stitches sent all these Valentine goodies.  Thank you so much!!!
The pillow is so cute, I love the rick-rack and the chocolate was delicious, my DH helped me with that.  I haven't decided what to make with the fat quarter and ribbons but so many ideas come to mind and of course, I should carry one of the mini lint rollers - I'm always leaving the house with little threads attached to my clothes.

Look at the beautiful postcard Theresa made:

I'm going to get a little stand for it, it will look perfect on the mantle.
Thank you Theresa and Happy Valentine's Day!

By the way, here's what I sent to my Valentine partner Wendy.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Friday Night with Friends

It's hard to believe it's February already!

I'm still working on the same project as last month but I'm much further along.  It's Bonnie Hunter's mystery, 'Easy Street', and I have completed all the units and am working on making them into blocks.  I am really happy with how it's turning out.  So bright!

To see what the other ladies have been making stop by Cheryll's and follow the link.
Please stop by #19 Katie and visit.  It's my daughters newest blog.  If you scroll down a few posts at her site you can read some of her poetry.  I think she's a fabulous writer!  Can you tell I'm her mom?

See you next month!
