One Flower Wednesday (Thursday) and 12' Mini Quilt Swap

Better late than never???  Not much new on the hexies but I did make some more stepping stones and one leaf.  I'm also working on Halloween place mats - which is the fabric you see under the hexies.  Visit Karen at One Flower Wednesday to see how hexie flowers are blooming in other gardens.

I received a soft envelope in the mail this week....

It's fantastic, my husband loves it!  Mary Pat sent this to me for the 12" Mini Swap hosted by Cheryll at Gone Stitchin'.  The theme was 'Father's Day' which happens to be a few months later in Australia than here in the States.  The next Mini swap sign up is in September and the theme is 'Spring" if you'd like to join in the fun.  Thanks for the beautiful Mini Mary Pat!

I sent 2 quilts in for quilting, I'm just finishing up binding on a quilt for my nephew's daughter (due beginning of September) and I've been working on a leaf pattern......hope to have pictures soon.

Have a GREAT week!

One Flower Wednesday, 12 inch Mini Quilt Swap and Northern Lights

Hello!  It's been so long since I posted but I've kept up with visiting all the beautiful hexies/flowers over at One Flower Wednesday hosted by Karen.  My flower garden is growing very slowly and I had trouble keeping the patterned rows in order but after a little ripping out I think my rows are growing nicely.

I also participated in a 12" Mini Quilt Swap hosted by Cheryll.  My Mini went to Sharon this month and I was reminded I forgot to add a label...sorry Sharon!

This pattern is from  Don't look now!   I just changed things a little to make it a mini.

I received these beautiful pictures in an email and I'd like to share them with you.

Northern Lights Over Teepees

These are spectacular and the teepees are so
pretty in the dark but,
check out that thermometer!
(NORTHERN LIGHTS, YELLOW KNIFE, CANADA )

BELOW IS A FIRE RAINBOW - THE RAREST OF ALL NATURALLY OCCURRING ATMOSPHERIC PHENOMENA. THE PICTURE WAS CAPTURED
ON THE
IDAHO, WASHINGTON BORDER. THE EVENT LASTED ABOUT 1 HOUR. CLOUDS HAVE TO BE CIRRUS, AT LEAST 20K FEET IN THE AIR, WITH JUST THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF ICE CRYSTALS AND THE SUN HAS TO HIT
THE CLOUDS AT PRECISELY 58 DEGREES
.

Enjoy the pictures.....have a great week!
